Hayim Kobi

This site is dedicated to music making that integrates electronic and acoustic elements in a natural blend of sounds, with emphasis on the visual potential of the music. When I write a new piece of music, I always have some imaginary scene playing in my head. When others listen to it, that scene may transform to a completely new visual in their head.

The main goal of my compositions is to have some emotional effect on the listener, even if minimal. As you watch a film, you are naturally engulfed by the emotions the film projects to you. Filmmakers use numerous techniques to achieve that: camera movement and angles, scene editing, voice-overs, dialogs, lighting, set design, custome design, makeup, and of course – a music score. I believe that music alone can achieve the same emotional effect if it drives you to build these scenes in your mind.
